If dreams come true!

At the point where I am today, this world seems to be different. Everything has changed in ten years because life has seen so many ups and downs.  The financial crisis has always been a problem for the family, but I have learned to live in this situation and was thinking that it is good that I did not say yes to Asad, otherwise, what would my mother do alone today.  God's glory is unique. What happens is for the good.


Present (After 10 Years)

 I come to the door with the voice of my mother calling me to open the door. I am standing quiet after opening the door. A voice comes from the front. Aunty, I am Maheen's university friend Asad. He enters the house but I just stand there watching him. He comes home for the condolence of Dad and I am still lost in my thoughts my mother asks me to bring tea and I leave thinking that How did he find out about the house and how did he get here? I serve him the tea and he is talking to my mother. He asks me about what I did in those years and I am silently watching him. 


He tells Mom that if you have any sort of work, you will tell me and he gives his phone number and takes Mom's phone number. He says goodbye and leaves. After Asad leaves, Mom asked me about him.  I never told her about him. All I can say is that he was just my friend and my classmate. Mom says that no friend has asked for so many years. He came to the house. He is a good man. He came to the house to get the news of his friend. What can I tell my mother that he was the meaning of my life and love of my life but I haven't mentioned it to anyone till today?

One morning my mother says that someone who knows my aunt will come to see me. I also get ready. In the evening the boy’s mother and sister come to meet me. I ask my mother whose these relatives are who have never woken up before. The next day the phone rings. It was the same aunty's phone. Mom answers. Aunty says we like the girl. Give me the date of the engagement. Mom asks her to wait a while. I asked whose son you have not seen nor the boy has seen me. Mom said they already know us and we know them so there is no need to meet the boy and on Saturday there will be an engagement planned so you have to be ready tomorrow then we will go shopping. On Saturday morning after praying I asked Mom about all preparations. The day went on and all of the family gather at my place. The makeup artist has also been called to the house.
